Study in Brazil with Fully Funded Master’s and PhD Scholarships
Applications are now officially open for the prestigious GCUB International Mobility Program (GCUB-Mob) 2026–2027, offering fully funded Master’s and PhD scholarships for international students from around the world to study in Brazil.
The scholarship program is organized by the International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB) with support from major international and Brazilian institutions, including the Guimarães Rosa Institute of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Organization of American States (OAS), AUF, CONFAP, and UDUALC.
This is one of the largest international scholarship opportunities in Latin America, designed to strengthen global academic cooperation and support highly talented students from all five continents.
In the fifth edition of the program, more than 889 fully funded scholarships will be offered by 62 Brazilian universities, including:
- 539 Master’s scholarships
- 350 Doctoral (PhD) scholarships
Academic programs are expected to begin in 2027.
Scholarship Benefits
Selected applicants for the GCUB Scholarships 2026–2027 will receive a wide range of benefits, including:
- Full exemption from tuition and academic fees

In addition, students from member states of the Southern Common Market (OSC) may receive support of up to USD 1,500 for:
- Airfare
- Visa processing

- Personal settlement expenses
Available Degree Programs
The GCUB-Mob Scholarship supports postgraduate studies in a wide range of academic disciplines through:
- Master’s Degree Programs
- Doctoral (PhD) Degree Programs
Programs are available at 62 participating Brazilian universities across multiple fields of study.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the GCUB International Mobility Program 2026, applicants must:
- Be citizens of countries that maintain diplomatic relations with Brazil
- Not hold Brazilian nationality
- Submit applications in English, Portuguese, French, or Spanish
- Meet the language requirements of the selected program
- Submit all required academic documents
- Be ready to cover expenses not included in the scholarship
- Apply for up to five Master’s or PhD programs at different universities

- Completed online application form
- Passport or National ID copy
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Academic certificates and diplomas
- Academic transcripts
- Degree certificates
- Motivation essay following the required structure:

- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
